What I liked
This is the first time I have been admitted to hospital for many year and was rushed in at very short notice. Despite a delay being admitted into the AMU, once I was admitted the care and attention was apparent. The next day I was transferred to Ward 20 and again the staff made me feel incredibly at ease and safe. All very friendly and there seemed to be a good relationship between the doctors and nurses. At all times I was being asked if I had any questions or if I needed anything explaining. Hospital was clean and witnessed frequent cleaning.
What could be improved
Food was ok but everything seemed to be boiled. Think this is more to do with the needs of bulk catering rather than lack of attention. Meals did vary though and there was a reasonable choice.
Anything else?
Still attend the hospital weekly as an outpatient now and my impression of the staff or hospital has not changed. Even as an outpatient staff are very friendly and keep you informed all the way through.
