My two children Alex and Charlie (10 and 7) were both freakishly injured at the same spot in a regional mountain bike race at Eastridge south of Shrewsbury yesterday. Both ended up with head injuries after catapulting over a jump while still clipped into their pedals. The service they received from the ambulance service and from A and E at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital was excellent. All the way through, they were treated promptly, efficiently and with kindness. A pretty horrible day ended with positive outcomes because of the care received.
