"Excellent clinical service, poor meal service"

Dear Sir,. During my recent visit to Princess Royal Hospital, as instructed, I hadn't eaten or drunk anything for 12 hours before my op and and missed supper on my ward while I was being given some treatment. The following morning I missed breakfast while in the shower so I'd had one sandwich in 24 hours of not eating. I can't believe that no one bothered to tell me that there was food on the ward or ask me if I would like some, but that is what happened. M.C.Ainsworth
