I was diagnosed with Bladder cancer late 2013. The consultant Mr Greenland and his team have been truly amazing. I have only the highest praise for them.
When I arrived at Wycombe hospital for a pre med, the staff recognised I had been given no information regarding my condition by SM hospital, in fact I arrived having been informed I had a polyp. Hilary Baker was called immediately to explain my condition and was sensitive and really made such a difference to how I felt.
When I had to undergo BCG treatment, again Hilary Baker stepped in and rearranged dates to fit in with my circumstances. All the staff on the Urology ward where I received the treatment were friendly and made the process seem easy.
The receptionist was wonderful, so full of humour, used appropriately to put me at ease. Jane Greenley and Hilary Baker administered the treatments with the highest skill and sensitivity, I can't praise them enough for how they treated me. I would also like to thank Dawn Schreiber, who was also brilliant in managing the appointments, again taking into consideration my circumstances.
Thank you all so much and I hope everyone who has the misfortune to be diagnosed with bladder cancer receives the same excellent treatment from this wonderful staff team.
