"Fordwich Ward"

About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital

My father recently passed away after a stroke and spent his last days on Fordwich ward. The nursing staff and doctors treated my father with respect and care throughout his stay, even when he was unconscious. I was involved in decisions and kept up to date with everything. I spent 5 days sleeping alongside my father and I was also cared for and looked after at this difficult time. The staff went above and beyond what is expected of them to ensure that this time was as easy to cope with as is possible in the circumstances. I would have no doubt recommending them in the future.

Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback about your fathers care during his last few days of life. I am glad we were able to look after you both well, this must have been a distressing time for you. Staff on Fordwich will really appreciate your words.
