"Wonderful staff and facilities"

About: Derriford Hospital

I was admitted to the MAU on 28th April sent by my doctor as an emergency after an ECG at my local surgery showed my PR was down to 35bpm. They put me on a ECG and told me I was quite poorly though I felt OK.They then put me straight in to Torcross cardiac ward on monitors, after examinations and tests the doctors then told me I needed a pacemaker fitted which was carried out on the 30th. I cannot thank the staff enough for there kindness, dignity and professionalism shown to me during my stay, nothing was too much trouble for any one of them, from the momentI got to the MAU till the time I left Torcross ward the day after my operation. The meals I had were totally adequate and some quite tasty but then it is a hospital not 5*restaurant. To anyone going in to this ward just remember you are being cared for by the finest in the world,my wife and I have been treated in other departments in Derriford and have not had single problem anywhere.
