I turned up on Bank Holiday Monday needing an unusual blood test & was dealt with patiently & thoroughly (though not very quickly for obvious reasons) by a very busy A&E department who said they would phone me at home with some delayed results & actually did so! Full marks to the lab & to the doctor, even though the test didn't solve my problem.
