"I'm so grateful I cant thank you enough"

About: Glenfield Hospital

I'm so grateful I cant thank you enough. In CDU everyone was fantastic, the people who cleaned, the people who delivered the food, care staff , nurses, doctors and consultants, just thanks. When i transferred to ward 33A, I was treated with such care and respect, everything explained and I was looked after with such professionalism, it made me weep , relay. As above, everyone was fantastic, the people who cleaned, the people who delivered the food, care staff , nurses, doctors and consultants. All of the nursing staff where brilliant and gave more than 100% , working long shifts of 12 hours and being just as cheery at the end as at the beginning, despite dealing with lots of difficult situations including abuse. Just a few where so very special, recognizing and giving extra support to everyone in such a committed way, raising spirits and going the extra mile. I'm not going to name names but several of you deserve an award from the Queen. My thanks the Chaplin , for a very uplifting Sunday communion service, and the volunteers from local churches who helped people from the wards attend. There was a point when you realize you life has been saved, improved and lengthened. I'm deeply changed by the experience, so simply thanks hardly seems enough.

Dear Bob, Thank you very much for sharing your experiences of CDU and Ward 33a with us. We have shared your comments with the staff, ensuring each and every person who was involved in your care gets to see how grateful you are. As a hospital trust, we aim to provide Caring at its Best to our patients. This is outlined by five key values, underpinnned by 16 behaviours. It sounds like all of our staff exemplified these!
