"Vicki Adkins Breast Unit"

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

I visited the Breast Unit at 2.40 pm on 28 April for my annual mammogram. It is always an anxious time, but my visit was made so much better by the lovely lady radiographer. She chatted to me in such a friendly way. I came away feeling relaxed and happy, despite the rather uncomfortable procedure. Thank you. I only wish there was not a two week wait for the results!

Many thanks for your feedback, which we will pass to the team at the QEII - we know that they will be delighted to read your kind words. We also understand your concern about the waiting time for the results, but whilst the actual electronic image is produced quickly the rate-limiting step is always its being reported on by a consultant radiologist - this needs to be done carefully and accurately. Fingers-crossed that it's good news!
