I had an appointment at the Out Patient Clinic at the Gilbert Bain Hospital. I was offered no treatment whatsoever, even though I had said that the painkillers I am currently taking are doing nothing for me. I basically got told to live with it (pain).
A few weeks later, I saw a doctor from NHS Grampian because of this same pain, this doctor gives me a very thorough examination.
Because of this NHS Grampian doctor, I get referred for a scan, I got referred to get a support and I also got referred to get physiotherapy. So why did the NHS Shetland doctor offer me nothing? To be honest, I am glad, as I am getting far better care where I am now.
