After going through the out of hours GP process (which worked very well) I was admitted on Easter Sunday to Ward F6 for surgery on a painful abscess. The staff were superb - professional in every way, including taking the time to be very caring and compassionate (especially as the abscess was in a very delicate area!). My stay was less than 24 hours, but I came across a wide range of surgical and ward staff (including those who support the work of nurses through keeping the wards clean, patients fed and so on). Every single one I encountered was a credit to the hospital and my thanks go to them all. Over the past few months I have had other surgery and hospital visits and have always found unfailingly kind, caring, hugely professional staff. This is a hospital to be proud of.
"Compassionate care and excellent service"
