"Dermatology - Simply The Best"

I have been an out patient at Broomfield Hospital for over 30 years now, being treated for severe and chronic psoriasis. Recently having to stop treatment that had seen me relatively clear for 2 years I have needed a lot of support from them. Staff in Dermatology have been outstanding. One in particular was very supportive when I sat and cried on her shoulder recently. I cannot praise them enough for their caring and sensitive treatment of not just the condition but also of me. I have seen a lot of changes over the years in this area and it's sad that only in recent years are people starting to realise that as the largest organ of the body, skin is incredibly important. For years it was about treating the condition and not the person but these 2 wonderful nurses and my consultant think about the person too. Sadly there was a mix up recently which meant my treatment may be delayed however this is out of their control because they still have to hand things over to other departments to deal with. I know that the fault does not lie with them and give them nothing but praise for their hard work and dedication. Thankyou - I can't tell you how much your support has meant to me.
