"A&E not bothered"

About: Arrowe Park Hospital

i was admitted to the A&E department at 14.56pm. I was in severe pain and sat in a chair in full view of the reception area. The pain was so severe that I sat crouched up on the chair facing the wall and looking for some assistance from the reception/nursing staff. . At no point did any memeber of staff enquire if I was ok. My partner arrived at 3.30pm to find me still in severe pain and enquired at the reception as to why no one had been to see if I was/or in need of some assistance. He was informed that they were working as fast as Health and Safety allowed and that I was fourth in the queue. When my partner looked around the department there were 4 people in the seating area and in his opinion not one of those people showed the signs of pain or distress that I was showing. We expect those in a caring profession to show exactly that when people show signs of distress. Not a great advert for health care.
