"Colorectal clinic and flexible sigmoidoscopy"

About: Chase Farm Hospital

Attended clinic on 6th March. Despite long wait, I was given caring attention by all staff, and thorough investigation. I was then advised, as a precaution, I would be referred to have a flexible sigmoidoscopy. I was told I would receive a phone call. When this wasn't received after 2 weeks I called the Endoscopy Unit, and a helpful lady confirmed I was on the waiting list and that I would receive a call shortly, checking the right numbers were on my records. I had the test yesterday (a Saturday). It was a breeze. Caring staff all round, and one even recognised me from having an endoscopy last November! Even the receptionist was worried when I was the last one still waiting as she knew I was anxious. Could not fault my experience, nor the detail of my diagnosis which thankfully was less worrying than it could have been.
