About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

I was admitted as an emergency and after being in surgery for over six hours i was taken onto a ward.As i am allergic to penicillin i informed all the staff only to discover i was given penicillin based antibiotics and duly became nauseous eventually vomiting constantly. When the nursing staff found out i was an ex member of staff their attitude towards me altered to the extent of being ignored and an auxillary actually stood as she thought in hiding and listened to me making a phone call. This person then went informed the staff and repeated what she had heard me say by this time i was again vomiting and another patient had to ring for help as my bell was being ignored. When any visitors came to visit me it was noticed how i was ignored by the staff so it was a good thing i knew how to look after myself.Ialso overheard a nurse complaining about me and when i asked what had i done she denied saying anything. Its a pity the nurses cant just nurse and do what they are paid to do and not tittle tattle.
