My mother has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Prior to this I had to travel from Yorkshire on several occasions to take her to various appts for various ailments including the diagnosis of the Alzheimer's. This involved her having to visit the eye clinic, brain scan department and the Memory Assessment Clinic among others. She also had an emergency overnight stay in the hospital. I have to say that the service she received was amazing - far superior to Calderdale Health Care. She was seen promptly and treated with great respect. I have nothing but praise for all who we have come into contact with on this very stressful journey. Mum also has had home visits from Social Services, OT dept and the Memory Assessment clinic. I am amazed that from the receptionists at Lancaster Royal go the extra mile to help you with any information you may need. Yes there have been niggles on the way, yes one or two workers at the hospital may not have been as great as their colleagues but they are really in the minority. Parking was a bit of a pain at times but guess it's the same with most hospitals. BTW put "Don't know" which Dept below as visited several.
"Very impressed"
