What I liked
I was admitted as an emergency and was put in a private room as I was infectious. The staff on the ward were very reassuring, as I had never been admitted to hospital before.
What could be improved
Communication between the consultant and me: I never really knew what was wrong, and kept getting different bits of information from different people. The cannula in my arm got blocked and it killed.
Anything else?
I was admitted for an operation a couple of months later; again, there was a slight lack of communication about the complications that occurred. I was fine, however.
