I attended the Orthopaedic Department back in early November 2013 to see a consultant regarding a painful trigger finger on both hands, I was told I would receive an appointment for surgery as a Day Case patients in the post. What they did not tell me was that it would be at least 18 weeks waiting, also when trying to contact the Hospital regarding this appointment on numerous occasions I have been unable to get through, the phone just rings and rings. Finally when I did get through I was put through to the waiting list department only to be told the person is off a the moment and to ring back at the end of March. If I where to offer the same service to my customers the company I work for would have sacked me long ago. its not rocket science to provide a decent level of customer service. I just feel that I am being palmed off with no genuine reason for the delays. As a result the ain in both my hands is getting worse with still no idea when I am going to get my operation.
