I attended the Endoscopy Unit at Birmingham Heartlands hospital for a procedure.
The welcome by the student nurse Layla was professional and friendly
I would have liked to have been asked by the sister if I had any objection to a trainee nurse putting the needle for sedation into my arm as she had a number of attempts before managing to do so and I have a fright of needles.
The sister in the recovery ward was so reassuring and friendly and so put me at ease before giving me the report which I was delighted to receive.
I would like this passed on to those folk that I felt made the procedure helpful when I was so uptight
my thanks to the NHS overall who do such a good job with the man power given to them.
Thank you again
