About: Darlington Memorial Hospital

Wife arrived at A and E on Sunday 16 March at 0945 by ambulance with severe abdominal pains around the area of major surgery she had had 4 months ago at Freeman hospital. She was seen immediately in a private room and assessed. She was given morphine which relieved the pain.Various doctors, nurses and surgeons assessed her and xrays were taken. She was given a bed in Ward 31 and had a catscan Monday morning. She was discharged monday at 1700 The service she received was 1st class from all and we were very impressed. We were only directed there as Dryburn was too busy. All staff should be given a medal
