"Husband with Kidney Stones"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

I bought my husband up to A&E with acute abdominal pain..he was double over in pain and literally lying on the floor of the department. The triage nurse at the time and also the receptionist showed no concern and insisted he had to just wait in line. Finally after over an hour of lying on the floor he was taken through and seen by an amazing doctor who straight away gave him morphine for the pain. All we wanted from the immediate staff was abit of compassion and assistance..it was not right to leave him for so long in that much pain..anything could of been happening.

Thank you for your comments; I am sorry to hear about what happened when you attended A&E with your husband, and apologise for the delay in this acknowledgement. If you would like to discuss this further or for us to arrange an investigation, please contact us at patientservices.dept@worcsacute.nhs.uk and provide us with your husbands details, and we will assist.
