"Maternity Assessment Unit"

About: Darent Valley Hospital

I visited Maternity Assessment when I was 37 weeks pregnant with contractions and in an a lot of pain and was seen by a midwife, she treated me with so much respect and empathy and actually listened to what I had to say. It made a change from when I had previously visited The Ante Natal Clinic where I have always been dismissed and never allowed to have opinions and even on one occasion been reduced to tears. She was a credit to your service and I hope she is on shift when I give birth as I know I will have another positive experience.
