"Hospital visit after falling and hitting head"

About: Bristol Royal Infirmary / Neurology South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

The ambulance took a round about way to the Bristol Royal Infirmary, on arrival we spent 2 hours waiting to be admitted to A+E. The paramedics were very good. We then spent 14 hours in A+E waiting for a bed, during which we found out my mother had a small bleed on the brain. She then spent just over a day on the ward under observation before being discharged. The staff were fantastic throughout, it's a shame they don't have the resources to do the job they do so well.

Dear Sleepy Pete

thank you for taking your time to share your experience. I hope your mother recovering well.

I am glad that you felt that our ambulance staff were very good. I would like to be able to pass on your kind words to our staff. In order to do this I will need to know the date and address that the ambulance attended. Could you please contact me, at your convenience, at laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk?

Thank you again for providing feedback on our service.

Kind regards

Laura
