I live 150 miles away from my father and came home from work on Wednesday to find a message on my answering machine from his cleaning lady to say he had been taken to hospital. I phoned to find out what was going on only to be asked to call back in half an hour as the nurse dealing with him couldn't be found. I called back and still no nurse. On my insistence another colleague went to read his notes and tell him I had called. However my brother called later and spoke to a male nurse who was extremely helpful. I called in the morning and was able to talk to my father which was lovely. My father has now returned home and couldn't talk highly enough of the service he received in your hospital. He was very well looked after, the food was excellent and the staff were very attentive, in fact he said he felt like he'd been on holiday for a couple of days! Thank you very much for such excellent service. It's very hard when you live a good distance from an elderly parent. It didn't start off too well with reference to my initial contact but according to my father it was excellent service. Faith. He was on Terrington Ward.
