"Good experience and very reassuring visit"

I was feeling unwell and having severe palpitations on Sunday 2nd of February , in the evening . My Husband drove me to the Minor/Major Injury Unit . We arrived about 6 p.m. A Nurse near the Reception area could see I was feeling unwell and got me booked in quickly and took me into the Major Injury area . I was quickly checked over and put on various monitors . I had an E.C.G. done and waited for the Doctor . This was a while but I was being monitored . I started getting severe and continuing Palpitations and an E.C.G. was done immediatly . When the Doctor arrived he explained what was happening to me very clearly and reassured me that, although I had had a very high B.P. reading and the palpitations , the actual heartbeat was fast but regular so it was basically a stress related problem . He prescribed a Beta Blocker and I was given one immediately . He reassured me and explained what was happening to me and why . I had also had a very thorough check up including a blood test and chest x-ray . The Doctor was excellent . I cannot thank the Kent and Canterbury Hospital highly enough . Thank you Anne Loder
