I had my tonsils removed recently at local hospital (William Harvey). The information sent to me was for a child having them removed. Once in the hospital, I was treated very effectively by the nurse preparing me to go in, very effectively and nicely by the surgeon and all the theatre staff. However, once on a ward I felt as if I were a nuisance being there. The ward was very clean, and modern, but all I could hear was nurses gossiping at there work station. I was in incredible pain - wanting to sleep it off - but yap yap yap talk talk talk all about their social lives. Please if you want more pay - surely you have to be busy enough to not talk so much. Thanks anyway for the morphine! That did make me sleep in the end.
