My mum's had two one week stayed in this hospital with COPD. I could not commend the paramedic enough, they should get a lot more credit than what do, not only were they caring and very professional when it came to my mum's needs, they had excellent bed side manners, I had to travel with my son who has autism, they were very understanding regarding his needs too, very professional, down to earth, lovely ladies, i hope she did manage to complete that Sudoku book ;-) A&E department, that's a completely different kettle of fish, the lack of respect shown to me and my ASD son was appalling, they do not listen, they only listen to what they want to hear but they had what i would call a rush hour, its was terrible, we went into a bay and you could tell the nurse was stressed, she said to me son "sit" like he was some sort of animal, Disgusting. Ward 20, I found some diamond nurses, they were willing to help, they took good care of my mum, discharging patient was a real concern. they seriously need looking at the hours they are sending people home at, who is their right mind sends a vulnerable SENS 69 years old home at night 7.00-9.00 it's crazy, apart form that i found the hospital cleans and well maintain, I suppose you'll always get a few bad apples to spoil the good work of the rest .
