"Shoulder Arthroscopy and removal of calcific..."

About: Circle Bath

Arrived at the hospital at 7.00 am and was shown to a 'pod' in the day surgery area where I changed into a surgical gown, A dressing gown and slippers were also provided. A member of the nursing team completed the admission paperwork and the pre-op assessment. The surgeon then came in and took me through the procedure step by step he was followed by the anaesthetist who discussed my anaesthetic and pain relief. While waiting I watched the TV provided in the pod. I was taken to the operating theatre earlier than expected. The operation went as planned and after being in recovery for a while was taken to my room. All my personal effects were there as promised. The room was spacious with a lovely ensuite wet room, The after care from the nurses and physios was exellent. The food was good and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Nobody likes to be in hospital but the individual care and attention given by the staff at every level helps you to relax and gives you confidence that everyone knows exactly what they are doing. I would certainly recommend this hospital,
