What I liked

The HDU is currently providing my Mother with exceptional care... thank you sincerely from her family.

What could be improved

My Mother was in Pearson Ward before being transferred to HDU. Her medical care was no doubt excellent but sometimes the lack care and compassion from the nursing staff upset my Mum.

For example she was left waiting for 45 mins to go to the toilet. She was also left for nearly two hours in the middle of the night against an open window in October when she is suffering a severe lung infection (or worse). This distressed her and left her feeling demoralised when she was already under a great deal of stress with her struggling to breath.

My Mum is not a complainer by nature and always looks on the brightside of life so I knew that when she mentioned these events to me that I know them to be a fair assessment of the situation. Please, please do alter this situation to save others from suffering the same anguish.
