About: Gainsborough Health Clinic Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health

(as a relative),

turned up for a psychiatrist appointment with my husband as stated on letter. After a short wait someone came out to say we were in the wrong place - should not be at Lincoln but Gainsborough.

We were made to feel it was our mistake until the evidence of the letter was shown and accepted.

They did, helpfully, make an appointment at Gainsborough for later in the day to resolve the issue.

We had planned to do some things together after the appointment but this was then imposssible as we had to get to the new appointment.

Services need to realise that we have lives to live and have plans and things to look forward to as well as living with mental health issues and accessing services.

I work full time and had to take the day off for the appointment and wanted to make the most of the day. Instead we got a road tour of Lincolnshire.

I am sorry to hear that you were misinformed about a recent appointment at one of outpatient clinics. As it is not clear from your posting which service it involved we would like to investigate further so that we ensure that it does not happen again.
