I was an inpatient on promenade ward for one month recently and found the staff to be some of the kindest people I've ever met. I was fragile and scared when I arrived but within a few days was settled-despite the physical pain and sickness I was experiencing-the support and patience of the nurses gave my strength to keep going when I felt my worst. I really can't thank them enough. The food was very good for hospital food and helped give the day structure especially as I wasn't eating much before I arrived. One problem was the lack out outside space for us on promenade it did become quite frustrating being so cooped in! But overall I feel I was treated with respect, compassion and empathy and and can't really fault the team that looked after me during my stay.
"Wonderful staff and nurses helped me immeasurably"
