During a routine BP test at my GP surgery with the Practice Nurse I mentioned I was hard of hearing.
The nurse checked my ears and arranged for a Practice Hearing test the same week. Duly carried out the test and a referral was agreed.
Devon Referral Support Services sent a booking form for the Service and issued a reminder as this was over the Christmas holiday.
I then telephoned and was given an appointment at the local Specsavers. The audiologist carried out the final tests and explanation of my loss of hearing and then having set up the aid introduced me to his assistant for a further demonstration and practise use procedures.
My hearing is now restored thanks to the GP Surgery, NHS and Specsavers. I am delighted and the referral system worked so well.
Thank you NHS
