"Staff car parking"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital

Staff have their own car parks so why do they always park in the disable bays in front of the education centre?Last year when I was in hospital my ward overlooked the car park and by 7 30am all disable bays were taken. What makes matters worse is that they blatantly have staff stickers in the car windows.I agree with the previous comment set off early as you could spend a long time driving round. We cant park in staff car parks so why should they take patients/visitors places. My daughter works at this hospital and always parks her car right at the very top staff car park.A multi storey car park should have been built when the hospital was built

The car parks at Pinderfields are managed and policed by Balfour Beatty, the Trust partner. Balfour Beatty undertake regular patrols and will issue fines to staff who are inappropriately parked. Particular attention is paid to the use of disabled spaces to ensure the facility is not abused. The area around the education centre and diabetes centre can be accessed by both patients/visitors and staff, although a significant number of spaces are designated for the use of patients/visitors only. The number of disabled spaces is regulated by the local authority and the total currently available at Pinderfields is greater than at the previous site. With regard to a multi storey car park, the Trust was advised at the development stage that planning permission would be forthcoming.
