"Struck down with this awful Norovirus"

About: Leighton Hospital

A few days ago, my wife collapsed on the landing at home. We are in our eighties and it was totally beyond my ability to get her into bed. Needing urgent assistance I phoned for an ambulance and that was the start of the most professional and sympathetic care that anyone could ever imagine. The members of the ambulance team were delightful and reassuring, and after assessing my wife’s condition they took her to A & E where this same attitude and level of care was continued. I was and am most grateful to these wonderful professional people who, in a friendly and expert way, did all that was required to return my wife to her former state of health. (I am not in a position to give an opinion of same-sex accommodation in the hospital as we didn’t visit appropriate areas.)
