"absoloutly brilliant hospital, caring, and..."

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary

I would personally like to thank the amazing midwives who were with me, I found out I was pregnant and I told my doctor who said they thought I was 6 weeks pregnant, it didnt feel right, but the doctor knows best (this is not a doctor from lancaster) I then went to my midwife appiontments and was told everything was fine, me and my partner were very excited for our first scan (which again wasnt at lancaster), we were so happy, we got to our scan to literally have our hearts ripped out, I was told that I was 22 weeks pregnant and my baby was very poorly, I was referred to St Marys hospital in Manchester, were they again told us that our baby was very poorly and if I continued any longer with the pregnancy that the pregnancy I would get very poorly myself, I was told the best way for me and our baby was to end tge pregnancy, which ment I had to give birth naturally. I admit that a woman off the ward called me and was quite rude, but when I arrived the service I had recieved was absoloutly amazing, one midwife came to see me every half an hour and was an absoloute star. Another delivered my baby boy on the 29/11/13, he was born asleep and the midwives were very caring and made me feel very settled and I spent lots of time with him and didnt have to leave until I was ready. This hospital is a brilliant hospital, they are extremely caring and want to make you feel dignified. I woukd definatly recommend this hospital to anyone. and I will never forget how amazing those midwives were to me during such an awful, heartbreaking time. Thank you x
