"The staff in the hospital treated ..."

About: Southampton General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

The staff in the hospital treated me with the utmost care and concideration. They tried to answer all my questuions where they could.

My treatment could not have been better.

The beds were comfortable.

What could be improved

There were not enough pillows (only one to a bed) which mad sleeping difficult. PLEASE PROVIDE MORE PLIIOWS! I had to bring my own in!

I had to share a mixed sex ward (a gentleman walked round with no pants on)and there were not seperate showers for different sexes.

The food is the worsed I have ever had in a hospital even to the point of being inedible.

Anything else?

I was in for three days, on the first day only the sink in the word was cleaned. On the second day we complained of the urine on the floor in the toilets which was walked into our bay of the ward, only then did the cleaner some hours later wash the floor. No other cleaning was undertaken in the our bay of the ward in the time I was there!

I was not given a swab to test for MRSA when admitted.
