I visited the Eye Casualty Clinic on Monday 11/11/2013 and had a thorough eye examination and was referred to the Eye Clinic Surgeons as the doctor said there might be a possiblity of a retina tear. She tried to get me in the same day but there were no vacancies, so I was given an appointment for Thursday 15/11/2013. During my visit I found the staff pleasant and very efficient, and took less than two hours! Far less than I was led to believe. On Thursday, I had a scan and another very thorough examination, but as there was still bleeding of the eye, I was asked to come back in a fortnight, by which time the doctor hoped the bleeding would have cleared and any tear would be visible. I left with the advice of if any flashes or shadows occured to come back asap. Again, all within 2 hours. The clinic was very busy, but I thought it was very well organised with plenty of staff on duty - when do they get a break?? After all the negative reports - a very big positive!! Thank You
