I had a double bunion operation in November 2011 which resulted in me being left in severe daily pain every foot step is incredibly painful and much worse than my original bunion pain and I just about manage daily life on strong pain killers, missing out on many things with my two young children, 2 more ops, Ultra Sound and MRI scan and my doctor could not diagnose my condition and 'gave up' and then they referred me to somebody who injected me for the 4th time with cortisone that does not work only make my foot even more painful and recommended an insole, to say wearing this insole causes my eyes to water with the pain is an understatement, but i'm hoping it's going to help :( On one occasion I had to pull over on the motorway to take my boot off as I couldn't take the pain anymore (and thats with no pressure it just digging into the sensitive area!) I have no idea what to do, I feel the orthopaedic consultants that I have seen do not react and make my pain in my foot any better and they do not treat me as an urgent case. I am deeply in depression living in such pain and today even thought suicidal thoughts, I really can't take much more. I await my next appointment where my alternative option was an op to remove the nerve leaving two toes numb and the possibility and ending up in even more pain just makes me so so upset.
