I had the miss fortune of spending a night in the Wingfield ward! I was disgusted that the room I was shown to had a bin overflowing with rubbish. I asked for it to be cleaned up only to be told that it wasn't their job! Also I could not distinguish between staff and inpatients, as one of the staffs clothing was filthy! I was taken in from a&e. My friends got my bedding etc, which was checked by the staff. In my possessions were my antidepressants, which I was freely given. So I could have taken an overdose! Which I find ironic as that is why I was sent there! I requested a bible and was told that I couldn't have one until the morning! My friends and myself were told that visiting hours were all day! But in fact there were strict visiting time! I think the building is antiquated and not inviting. I had CBT at Ridgewood also.
