"MIU"

I attended the unit on the evening Sat 24 August 2013 due to a fall. I found the manner and attitude of the senior member of the clinical staff disgusting. I was told I needed to attend the RD & E due to the nature of the injury. I explained I had no means of getting to Exeter that night as I could not afford cab fares. The nurse was extremely rude and just walked away leaving me sat in the room wondering if id been discharged or not. my injury was not even looked at. I attended the ED department at the RD & E the following day and I am happy to report I was treated with dignity, respect and professionalism. Shame my local hospital could not offer this!
