I have already received a telephone call from your feed back team. But I wanted to record my appreciation for the investigation beginning around noon on 10 Aug 2013 and lasting to my discharge in the evening. I was referred to the hospital via NHS111 and a paramedic visit to my home. I was under investigation for peculiar and initially severe chest pains and was naturally concerned that it might be a heart problem. This was eliminated in the course of the day. Various other possibilities were also eliminated. I was very impressed by the general tone of efficiency in the hospital. I entered by ambulance into A&E, was triaged, further investigated and later found a bed in the assessment ward pending further tests. There I was very well treated and kept informed, and had a very good meal of hot soup, hot meat course and sweet. These were much better than I have experienced in previous (thankfully infrequent) hospital visits. I agreed to be discharged on conclusion of the tests and because of a reduction in the pains over the course of the day. They continued to decline over 11th August reaching barely perceptible levels by 12th August. This of course justifies the doctors' diagnosis and decisions. Once again thank you for a most excellent service. Roy Veitch
"Thanks for attention"
