"TNT (Team North Tees) Ward 32"

About: University Hospital Of North Tees

Anything else?

Whilst waiting by a patients bed for many hours over a 4 week period, many traits were observed and I feel it appropriate to comment on my observations during my wife's stay in the hospital. All, and I mean all, staff were friendly, polite and very professional. Always had smiles on their faces never saw a frown or sad face, always made time for patients, gave explanations before any action taken, very attentive when being spoken to by patients and other members of staff Immediate action was taken when help was requested from colleagues, showing an excellent team attitude Observed the staff coming together when a problem arose and each member appearing to know what to do - actually witnessed an alarm being raised from one of the wards, and with a few seconds 6 staff from adjacent wards moved to the scene, with others from further away asking if more help was required - it was like a classic fire evacuation, controlled and instantaneous. Never saw staff idly standing around Cleansing of hands between patients was a religion, fastidiously cleansing of trolleys after transferring patients and similarly cleansing of beds between patients. Do not wish to name individuals as each and every member of staff achieved the same high standard and it would be inappropriate to miss one off a list. A true team spirit with the same goal, should be called TNT (Team North Tees) My wife was also in Intensive Care Unit and Ward 33 for short periods and it must be said there was no difference in quality between the different wards A final point - I had many meals in the hospital restaurant our the 4 weeks and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and selection available
