Anything else?
I was admitted to CCU from Kettering following an emergency admission. The transfer took place at 1.30 in the morning but despite this, I was greeted by a group of Nurses and Technicians who made the whole process so easy it was obvious they knew their jobs inside out, The care I received put me greatly at ease (a feeling which I must say stayed with me through out my stay). The following morning I was met by my Surgeon who explained what would happen and when, again in a manner which put me at as much ease as possible. The procedure (Coronary bypass) was carried out by this surgeon and his team and the following morning I woke in ICU again to be helped and supported by a team of people who probably have no idea of how special they are, within 12 hours I was transferred to ward 31 and looked after until my discharge on Christmas Eve, again the treatment I received on the ward ment that I was able to leave the hospital feeling assured that at all times I had a dedicated team of health professionals looking after me. I suppose that a review has to have a point, my point is very simple, The care provided by the NHS, in my case Kettering and Glenfield should be of a standard second to none, the carers and professionals proving that care should be trained and dedicated to provided that standard as a norm'. In my opinion Kettering and Glenfield have risen to the standard and gone way beyond what is required of them. And may I say on another note 'Thank you for saving my life' Stuart Robb
