"a worrying time....but given wonderful help"

About: Colchester General Hospital

Anything else?

My 9 year old son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in feb and was very ill with it. We were admitted onto the childrens assessment unit and after a weekend stay was allowed home. The diabetic nurses are fantastic and are always around whenever you need them. They help all the time with insulin doses and are always very polite and talk to my son with respect, they never talk to me about him as through he isn't in the room. Colchester has a wonderful childrens diabetic team and I'm so glad we are under their care. :)

Many thanks for your comments and taking the time to submit them. We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive. We have a quarterly At Our Best Awards scheme which recognises staff achievements and thanks them for what they do. It has a team category, an individual and a volunteer category. You could enter the team/the person you were kind enough to write in about, by clicking here! http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/At_Our_Best_Awards Could you also email the Colchester Gazette and ask them to publish a letter? Email is: gazette.letters@nqe.com Many thanks
