Anything else?
I would like to say a big thank you to the staff who looked after my Mum when she arrived from Scilly in the middle of Friday night via a traumatic emergency helicopter journey (in the middle of a storm) and for pulling out all the stops to get her back home to her family for Christmas. It's just a shame that the Sister who received her in A&E had to make a derogatory remark about " sending them over for just an X-ray now" within her hearing. It's no fun being 82 years old, recently widowed, in a lot of pain and incredibly frightened to have to be transferred in a medi-vac!! and although our GP's (as that's all we have here) do an amazing job it's pretty hard without the benefit of X-ray eyes!!They say there is no compassion in nursing and while many others showed their compassion for a frightened elderly lady some staff have no heart. It's such a shame that the attitude of one staff member can reflect in a negative way on the rest of a good team. Once again many thanks.
