"Not enough time to give patients"

About: Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust / Mental Health Services for Older People – Inpatient

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Posted on behalf of a staff member regarding Cherry Ward:

Not enough time to give patients the attention they need due to staffing levels and with many physically dependent patients. Ratio of staff i.e. morning shift is poor. More tasks put on staff i.e. kitchen / meal duties.

Response from Andrea Ward, General Manager , Mental Health Services for Older People, Nottinghamshire Healthcare

Thank you for responding to Patient Opinion. I'm sorry to hear that you don't feel that you have enough staff, particularly in the morning.

I will ask Veronica Smith, Service Manager to review staffing levels and attendance with the Ward Manager this week.
