"High doses of medication took away all quality of life"

I get 6-8 weekly home visits from STAR worker - recovery every two weeks, a visit from community nurse for team.

Company is very therapeutic, I feel that Helen has got a talent for uplifting my moods, and I feel she treats me as an equal and not as a patient, which is a great confidence booster for myself. She is great company. I'm very satisfied with everything. I find Helen to be of great support and a dynamic personality.

My community nurse Peter is more like a friend than a nurse, and I can talk to him about anything. I'm very comfortable with everything that is happening with my care plan.

In the past I needed a lot of support, but thank goodness now I can stand on my own two feet, and I'm not so needy.

The only thing I've ever needed to complain about is the dosage of my medication in the past, as this made me dysfunctional. And it makes me feel for anyone on this type of medication. People who are on medication are not counted as sane, but from my own experience I was put on very high doses of medication, which took away all quality of life. I did not think any differently and certain doctors when I commented on not being able to function properly would tell me I am being stroppy, which I wasn't.
