"ward 28 Lgh"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

Anything else?

Admitted via gp, waited 6hrs to see a dr 8 hrs for a cannula. hardly ever saw a qualifed nurse apart from handover and drug round. I was fairly able the poor elderly ladies were not, one had a really bad fall and it was the nursing auxiliary who dealt with it. she then asked for 5hrs for pain relief none came and despite hitting her head, no dr. she got admittted at 8am and at 3 was still waiting for a dr despite the fall. Never had a arm band on during admission and one night woke up to a nurse given me a iv drug this is so wrong. It appeared the auxiliary s ran the ward. Ward was dirty when got took to bed it had crisps etc from the previous patient.

Dear reviewer, Thank you for sharing your experiences about Leicester General Hospital. We are truly disappointed to read your comments and would like the opportunity to look into this further. In order to do so, we will need a little more information from you such as name, patient number, date of stay etc so we can ensure we can thoroughly investigate your concerns. We therefore ask you to contact Matron for ward 28, Clair Riddell on 0116 258 8328 or email Clair.Riddell@uhl-tr.nhs.uk Kind regards Communications Team Leicester's Hospitals
