Ward clean but staff rarely came around to check if you pressed buzzer left up to 20mins then told rudely I am very busy understandable but I need you was left with out a hot meal for 4 out of 5 days staff do not let catering know you are out of the ward for treatment only meal I got was breakfast daily and managed to get lunch one day all other times a ham or cheese it was made of the cheapest proceed ingredients and tasteless one patient who was a Londoner always had the halal meal because when he ordered western food they would give to much to one person and leave others to make do with what was left no food at any time was kept back for me and I have been in 3 times for 4 and 5 days at a time would help if ward managers would inform of patient has to leave before . the food is dished up also they don't let you pick from the menu they push you to eat something else but I insisted on seeing a menu waste of time no food was allocated for me on any meal time Also on discharge no doctor available or nurse to have medicine and discharge paper printed or the staff who. Should have done said they had never done the removal of a candela and the doctor told me he did not like to touch men down there !!! Medical profession what did he expect me to do I will be returning and will not put up with this unprofessional work force so look out for me and answear the buzzer and make sure all Patient get their food and don't have to wait when asking for assistance also the answear to my question in most departments in Bart's health care is short of staff because staff on holiday we'll fill the vacancy so you have cover for your very generous holiday entitlement this service should be world class but reception staff in most departments act like they are doing me a favour I asked them to right down my appointment at mile end hospital she said no paper I asked for a appointment card instead don't have any this is the N H S your all well paid maybe the hospital managers could take a small pay cut or don't have generous ex spence accounts get this place back to a world class teaching hospital. ps Don't mention the lifts? Spent most day waiting on hospital bed in public areas staff and porters moaning who should take the lift ? Was at the spire roding catering and staff made my stay very pleasant and stress free?
