"Haematology experience: no rushed atmosphere"

I was very apprehensive about my possible experience at the new Lymphoma clinic in the haematology department at Chesterfield Royal. This was compounded by the fact that I had a dire experience in a previous hospital and so had elected to be transferred.

From the moment I arrived the nurse in charge was wonderful, smiling and so professional in every way. This wonderful experience continued with the consultant Dr Andrew Fletcher and then with the nurses taking bloods that day.

There was no rushed atmosphere, I was listened to and felt a valued patient.
